Come funzionano le votazioni per gli MTV EMA 2012

This year’s MTV EMA gives the power to you, the viewers, to pick the winners of most of our awards. Votes can be cast on the website, located at URL www.mtvema.com (the “Website”); the mobile website, located at http://m.mtvema.com/ (the “Mobile Site”); the MTV EMA app available free at the iTunes store (the “Mobile App”); or the Facebook app, located at http://www.facebook.com/MTVEMA (the “Facebook App”). You can vote up to a maximum of one hundred (100) times per day on any of the Website, the Mobile Site, the Mobile App or the Facebook App. Entries exceeding this limit will not be accepted. Only votes cast by real people will be allowed! Any entries that we believe have been made via participation in a syndicate or via any form of machine assisted intervention enabling computer-generated multiple entries, may be disqualified.

There are twelve (12) main categories: Best Song, Best Live, Best Pop, Best New, Best Female, Best Male, Best Hip Hop, Best Rock, Best PUSH, Best Alternative, Best World Stage, and Biggest Fans (“Main Categories”) with five (5) nominees in each of these categories (except Best PUSH and Best World Stage that have ten [10] that you can vote for). Voting for the Main Categories is open from 19 September 2011 until 11.59pm CET on 4 November 2011 and the winners will be announced during the EMAs show on 6 November 2011. There are five (5) nominees in the Best Video category, the winner of which will be chosen by MTV. You can vote for the Biggest Fans category either on the category page or by joining a fan team on the Website and voting your MegaFan points toward an artist.

The following MTV channels will also be running a Best Local Act Award which you can also vote for. In this category you will only able to vote for the five (5) nominees in your region, on the Website, the Mobile Site or the Facebook App. MTV Adria, MTV Belgium, MTV Czech, MTV Denmark, MTV Finland, MTV France, MTV Germany, MTV Greece, MTV Hungary, MTV Israel, MTV Italy, MTV Netherlands, MTV Poland, MTV Portugal, MTV Romania, MTV Russia, MTV Spain, MTV Sweden, MTV Switzerland, MTV UK & Ireland, MTV Ukraine, MTV Turkey. Voting for the Best Local Act awards will be open from 19 September 2011 until 11.59pm CET on 17 October 2011.

There is also an award for Worldwide Act. One (1) nominee from the below regions will be selected from a shortlist of Artists to represent their region in Worldwide Act.

1: Worldwide Act Asia Pacific Nominee
2: Worldwide Act Latin America Nominee
3: Worldwide Act North American Nominee
4: Worldwide Act Africa / India / Middle East Nominee
5: Worldwide Act Europe Nominee

Voting to select a nominee for the Worldwide Act awards will be open in regions 1-4 from 19 September 2011 until 11.59pm CET on 23 October 2011; the final nominees will be announced online on 24 October 2011. In region 5, Europe, the winners of the Best Local Act will go head to head with the winners from all the other European countries to be the Worldwide Act Europe Nominee. You will be able to vote for the Worldwide Act Europe Nominee from 18 October 2011 until 11.59pm CET on 23 October 2011.The winner will be announced online on 24 October 2011 and will go head to head with the winners from all the other regions for the category of Worldwide Act. You will be able to vote for the Worldwide Act from 24 October 2011 until 11.59pm CET on 4 November 2011.

There are no costs for any of these votes (except your standard internet connection fee or mobile device service charges – please check with your service provider for details of any such fees) and MTV makes no money from any votes cast.
